Help Us Cremate and Honor Bella’s Life
It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, Maribell "Bella" Disette Colon, who left us far too soon on April 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with rectal cancer and leukemia. She was only 34 years old.
Bella leaves behind her devoted husband, a 17-year-old stepson, and her precious daughter, Juliana.
Maribell was a true entrepreneur at heart. She owned Pavobella Salon, and later launched a variety of other ventures. Before her illness, she proudly served her community for six years with the United States Postal Service. Her diagnosis came just as she was preparing to begin her next business endeavor—something she had poured her heart into.
Bella was a radiant light—resilient, hopeful, and deeply spiritual. She fought bravely for over two years, not only against illness but also for basic support, as she battled tirelessly with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to access aid. She had no savings, as every ounce of her strength and energy was focused on survival.
Now, our family is humbly asking for your help to give Bella the farewell she deserves. We are raising funds to properly cremate her and lay her to rest with dignity and peace. Every donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward funeral and cremation expenses.
Our family, led in prayer and love by our Minister Sister, is committed to honoring Bella with grace and respect.
If you knew Bella, you know her strength and compassion were unmatched. If you didn’t, we hope her story moves you to share in this moment of remembrance and support.
Please share, donate, and keep our family in your prayers. Your kindness will help us bring peace and closure to a life taken far too soon.
