Hi, I'm Christy, and I'm reaching out to you today to support Bay Area Cats, an incredible organization dedicated to decreasing the number of unfixed cats in our community.
I found a colony of 18 cats in my neighborhood and Bay Area Cats was able to coordinate trapping, vet appointments (spay/neuter/injured cat care), care/recovery, and release or adoption of all the cats this month.
The cost was over $2500 just for this one colony of 18 cats and they rescue 1000s of cats in the Bay Area -- a total of 2,133 cats assisted in 2025 alone!
Will you please help us cover the costs to keep Bay Area Cats operating? All the money goes to vet appointments and essential cat care items like food and medicine. All the labor is done by a network of hardcore volunteers including: trap training, trapping and tracking cats, transporting to/from the vet and overnight care after surgeries. Bay Area Cats has NO paid employees, it's all volunteer based.
Your generous donations will directly help Bay Area Cats in their vital work by:
- Funding spay and neuter appointments to reduce the stray cat population
- Providing essential medical care for cats in need, ensuring they can live healthy lives, including rabies and FVRCP vaccines, and any wound treatment
Every dollar counts and brings us one step closer to a brighter future for our community’s cats. Thank you for your kindness!
My first sighting of the cats:
Some of the kittens eating breakfast buffet:
An adult male cat who received extensive vet care for 4 wounds:
Shy cats hiding everywhere:
Trap training them by feeding inside open traps for a week so they are not afraid to enter the traps:
Enjoying spending time with the extra friendly cats:
Holly's official adoption photo. so cute!
Please help if you can :)
