Hello, my name is Andrew — I was born on October 29th, 2025, weighing 7 lbs 13 oz and measuring 19.5 inches long. I arrived at 37 weeks happy and healthy, with one unexpected challenge: I was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. My parents knew about my condition before I was born and worked hard to assemble an incredible medical team to give me the best possible care. While I’m strong and doing well, I face a long road ahead filled with surgeries, treatments, and specialized care to help me eat properly, heal, and grow up healthy. Unfortunately, not all of the necessary treatments and supplies are covered by insurance. Even what seems like basic medical bandages alone are expected to cost over $2,000. Over the next nine months, we’re looking at approximately $5,000 in out-of-pocket medical expenses. To make things even harder, just one week after I was born, my father suffered a serious fall and broke his neck. He’s currently unable to work, and the financial strain has become overwhelming.
