Support Aus Hutehunde's New Well Fund

Let us introduce you to our good friends Teri & Chrissy. They are the proprietors of Aus Hutehunde German Shepherds in Iola, WI. They specialize in the responsible breeding of German Shepherds along with Board & Train programs and Kennel Services for all breeds.

Last winter we had to say goodbye to our sweet Lambeau and were looking for a new German Shepherd puppy. As we researched breeders, we decided to go with them to provide us with our new family member (Kane). We were quickly blown away. So much so we quickly went back to them for another puppy (Hades Jr).

Dog breeders can have a very negative stigma surrounding them, but we were quickly assured these ladies truly care about the responsible breeding of these dogs. The love and care they give their pack is unmatched and you’ll see this the second you arrive on their spacious property dedicated to providing the dogs with everything they need. These ladies don’t just sell their puppies and disappear. They stay in touch to assure all needs are met and questions are answered. They become an extended part of the family because they care for all of the dogs they breed and enter into new homes.

2024 was a year of growth and change for Aus Hutehunde. Not only did they combine their two kennels into one, but they also moved Chrissy and her dogs from Ohio to Wisconsin. Combining their kennels was an extremely costly venture including facilities upgrades and moving expenses.

Amid all this change and growth, they had a recent unfortunate and unforeseen circumstance in which we are asking your help in alleviating some of their burden. They recently have had issues with their well, and after multiple inspections and attempted fixes, it was determined they will need a new well dug to provide them with fresh drinking water for both themselves and their dogs. Through all of the inspections and attempted fixes they have already spent $7,000 to no avail. They had their pump and control box replaced and all new ground wires ran to the pump. None of that fixed the issue. The cost estimate for the new well is an additional $8,500 - $11,000. This level of expense on top of the expenses of combining their kennels has really put heavy strain on them. Their neighbor is currently assisting them with getting fresh water in the meantime, but this is only temporary.
