Support Angel: Overcoming Health and Job Loss

Hii! I’m Angel, a disabled trans woman living in Brooklyn. At the beginning of May I was let go from my chef job due to ableism from a lead manager. I’ve since been struggling to find a new job and stay afloat while dealing with medical and health problems.

I suffer from Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, aka POTS, as well as unknown joint conditions that my doctors are in the process of figuring out. It’s become increasingly difficult to get through the day to day, let alone working a full 40hr manual labor position.

I honestly didn’t think it’d come to this and had hoped I’d find a new gig or at the very least get approved for unemployment but have had no luck with either so I’m turning to crowdfunding.

Im currently 13 days late on rent, about to have my phone shut off and fall behind on legal payments from a debt collector. Im hoping to raise 2k for rent, $100 to get my phone bill and $150 to pay a debt collector so I don’t have to go to court again, on top of affording groceries. I’m embarrassed to have to do this but I’m terrified of being homeless again.
