I’m writing this for my dear friend and co-worker, Amy Calvin. Amy was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer. The cancer has also spread to her pelvis. She will be undergoing treatments of radiation and chemotherapy.
Amy is handling this news with such strength, but there will be a long road ahead and she will need all the support we are able to offer.
Right now we are focusing on monetary donations until we know more about how her body will handle the treatments. We don’t want Amy to have to worry about missing work, paying bills or insurance, or any other monetary issues that may arise. Amy is an auxiliary teacher with Leeds City Schools and has limited sick days left to use during her treatment. She currently does not have a cancer insurance policy and will likely be using FMLA and going unpaid during her treatment journey. Anything we can do to help lessen the burden on Amy and her family during this time will be so appreciated.
Amy is a person of faith and is leaning on God during this time. If you are unable to give a donation, please flood the gates of Heaven with prayers for her.
Thank you!
