Support Adonnis Blake in his Battle Against Brain Cancer

My name is Caitlyn Blake, and I am trying to secure funding on behalf of my brother-in-law, Adonnis Blake, to support him in his battle against brain cancer.

In January 2024, at just 36 years old, Adonnis was diagnosed with a grade 3 Pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma (PXA) brain tumor. He went through radiation in an attempt to shrink the tumor. Unfortunately, his tumor grew larger, and he moved his care to Mayo Clinic Phoenix. His medical team at Mayo was working to decide the next best step: surgery or chemotherapy. In depth MRIs were scheduled to get a clearer picture of what was going on. Adonnis felt like there was momentum in his treatment and things were changing for the better.

This momentum was interrupted on February 7, 2025, when Adonnis unexpectedly lost his job along with his medical insurance. Without his income or previous insurance, it felt impossible that he would be able to receive the care he needs. Adonnis was able to secure COBRA insurance, a very high monthly expense for someone who no longer has a steady income. This in addition to day to day living expenses and providing proper care for his daughter has started to weigh heavy on him during an already stressful time.

Adonnis is a loving father to his 6-year-old daughter, Olenna. Seeing them together, you see what a wonderful relationship they have! He is always making her laugh and teaching her new things, and Olenna simply adores her dad. Adonnis has prioritized providing a loving and stable home life for her throughout his treatment. Olenna is his inspiration to keep giving it his all in his fight against cancer.
