Support a Survivor: Karen Soto Needs a Home

Please consider helping my mom in this time of need. My mom, Karen Soto, 38, is a domestic abuse survivor. She was harmed for over 8 years, and now her ex-husband, aka my stepfather, is in prison for 6 years for it. It is also sad to admit that she has a chronic illness called MS or multiple sclerosis, which tends to have often serious flare-ups that leave her bedridden because she cannot move her left leg. Due to all this, she has been struggling for the last year to maintain a stable life.

I am trying to raise some funds to move her closer to me because she is on the verge of being kicked out of her home, and I work a full-time job to support her and me. I would move her into my place, but there is barely any room for me, and I sleep on a couch. Anything is appreciated; I just don’t want to see my mom on the streets with her illness. She’s been through so much already. I’m in the process of getting her disability, but I need her to be closer to me to take care of her.
