Stroke patient needs help getting home from AUS

Hi everyone and thank you for taking time to help with our situation. My father in law, Minh Ho, was traveling in Australia starting in mid February of 2020 to visit family and attend his nephew's wedding. Unfortunately, that wedding never took place due to the COVID-19 pandemic and he decided to just stay with family until the end of his 90 day visa.
On the night of April the 5th, he experienced a serious and massive stroke. His family rushed him to the Liverpool Emergency Hospital in Sydney in order to receive life saving treatment. The doctors informed us that he had experienced a hemorrhagic stroke on the right side of his brain which was severely bleeding and would require emergency brain surgery for him to have the possibility of survival. We were told that the expected survival rate of the procedure was 1-2% and against all odds, he made it through the surgery and was placed in the ICU to start a long road to recovery.
After 3 weeks on a ventilator in the ICU, he began to show signs of recovery and was moved to general ward where he started whispering, using his right arm and breathing on his own. For now, it looks like he is going to be paralyzed on the left side of his body going forward, but he is in high spirits and really wants to come home. My wife, her daughter, was able to obtain a travel waiver to be with him in the Sydney hospital, and we are workin non stop to find the best way to get him home.
After multiple CT scans and treatments, he was finally given the clearance to fly home, but it comes with a very high cost. The doctors told us that he will need to be in a business class seat for the 14 hour flight from Sydney to San Francisco so that he can lie flat during the trip. The only airline with 1 stop flights out of Sydney at the moment is United, and we have been trying to work with them to assist with the cost of a business class seat, but it isn't going anywhere so that is why I started this fund raiser.
One business class seat costs around $8000 and that is what we are hoping to raise. If more is raised, it will go towards also getting my wife into business class to take care of him during the long flight home. His medical costs have also been mounting and total over $200k, but we are working with the Sydney Hospital to take care of that as his insurance, Medicare, did not cover his treatments. For now, however, we are solely concentrated on getting him home and this would go a long way towards that. Thank you for everything!
