Street Trees for Sportsbank Street

Hi, I'm Adam. I live at 29.
Along with some of our other neighbours, we've been speaking to Street Trees, an organisation working with the council to plant more trees in Lewisham.
There are plenty of excellent benefits to having more trees in the local area and you may have noticed many of the streets close to us have started planting them (e.g. the trees on Elmer Road and Ringstead Road look great!).

The deal is:
- We need to raise £395 per tree to get them planted
- They will be planted in the Spring of 2026
- The council will guarantee them from damage or vandalism for 2 years while they get established
- During the warmer months, they need a weekly watering, which we have volunteers for
We have set the fundraiser at £790, which will get us 2 trees. An ambitious goal, but I'm hopeful that others will see the benefits too!
