Dear family, friends, and kindhearted strangers,
It is with unimaginable pain and very heavy hearts we share the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of my brother Steven Mendoza.
His passing has been broadcasted in Houston news channels and their websites. I’ll try to attach some links below.
He was shot in an attempted robbery. The outpouring of sweet comments and condolences are truly appreciated. His untimely death hurts us so much. Even in his final moments he was courageous and, as we understand, attempted to defend himself.
Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him knew how incredible of a man he was. Steven, better known as Fluffy, was loyal to a fault, hardworking, kind, proud, bold, and fearless. He was a man who above all cared about his family and friends whom he viewed as brothers too. He was very selfless and would help anyone in need, including going above and beyond just to take care of everyone around him. He was very fearless in all he did and enjoyed life so much, along with always being able to joke about everything, himself mostly, and share his very contagious laugh.
His heartbreaking passing leaves behind his 3 kids aged 6, 10, and 16, wife, his immediate family, niece, and in-laws.
As our family is grappling with the profound grief of losing him, we are facing the high cost of funeral arrangement and services. We are currently asking for donations to give Steven a proper memorial and say our last goodbyes. Your contributions, whether big or small, will help enormously to also cover any unforeseen costs of life without him.
Steven gave a lot of himself through joy, laughter, and love for the lives of those that knew him, and his unjust absence will be deeply felt by all who loved him. It’s a drowning pain. Every donation, every share, and every word of support is deeply appreciated during this heartbreaking time.

Con un dolor inimaginable y con el corazón muy roto compartimos la noticia del repentino e inesperado fallecimiento de mi hermano Steven Mendoza.
Su fallecimiento ha sido transmitido en los canales de noticias de Houston y sus sitios web. Intentaré adjuntar algunos enlaces a continuación.
Le dispararon en un intento de robo. Se agradece sinceramente la gran cantidad de dulces comentarios y condolencias. Su muerte prematura nos duele mucho. Incluso en sus últimos momentos fue valiente y, como sabemos, intentó defenderse.

Era muy desinteresado y ayudaba a cualquiera que lo necesitara, incluso haciendo todo lo posible para cuidar de todos los que lo rodeaban. Era muy valiente en todo lo que hacía y disfrutaba mucho de la vida, además de poder siempre bromear sobre todo, principalmente sobre sí mismo, y compartir su risa muy contagiosa.
Su desgarrador fallecimiento deja atrás a sus 3 hijos de 6, 10 y 16 años, su esposa, su familia inmediata, sobrina, y sus concuños.
Mientras nuestra familia lidia con el profundo dolor de perderlo, nos enfrentamos al alto costo de los arreglos y servicios funerarios. Actualmente estamos solicitando donaciones para darle a Steven un homenaje adecuado y despedirnos por última vez. Tus aportaciones, ya sean grandes o pequeñas, ayudarán enormemente a cubrir también cualquier coste imprevisto de vivir sin él.
Steven dio mucho de sí mismo a través de la alegría, la risa y el amor por las vidas de quienes lo conocieron, y todos los que lo amaron sentirán profundamente su injusta ausencia.
