Supporting Popit4Slim in His Fight Against Stage 4 Colon Cancer

For years, Popit4Slim, lovingly known as “Slim,” has been more than just a DJ in Oakland, a city on the east side of the San Francisco Bay. Undoubtedly, through his love of Hip-Hop and R&B and his ability to bring beautiful people together from all walks of life, Slim has truly helped shape and energize the Bay Area DJ scene. Whether behind the turntables at a packed event or connecting with people through music and community, Slim has always been about love, unity, and good energy.

Today, our beloved Slim needs that same community to rally around him.

In February, Slim was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. Since then, he has been fighting with everything he has. The journey has included hospital stays, colon procedures, constant medical appointments, and ongoing pain as he undergoes treatment.

Yet through it all, Slim has remained the person we all know and love, calm, grounded, full of self-love, and strong in spirit. His resilience has been nothing short of inspiring. His family and close friends have been by his side from the very beginning, supporting him through each step of this incredibly difficult journey.

Slim treatment is ongoing, and the road ahead will be long and challenging. As his family continues to support him through this fight, we are asking the community that he has given so much to for support, emotionally, spiritually, and, if possible, financially.
