Standing with Jason After Family Tragedy

We are coming together to support our employee and friend, Jason Morehead, who has experienced an unimaginable loss in a heartbreaking tragedy.

In a single incident, Jason lost three immediate family members:

His younger brother, Ryan Morehead (21)

His father, Travis Morehead (46)

His uncle, Charles Ortega (45)

According to DPS Sgt. Justin Ruiz, the preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, a 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz was traveling southbound on State Highway 6 when a 2020 Freightliner 18-wheeler, traveling northbound, crossed the center median and struck the Hyundai.

This devastating accident has left Jason and his family facing overwhelming grief, unexpected funeral expenses, and significant financial hardship during a time when no one should have to worry about anything beyond healing.

We are raising funds to help cover:

Funeral and memorial expenses

Immediate living costs

Financial relief while Jason navigates this unimaginable loss

Jason is a hardworking, caring individual who has always shown up for others. Now it’s our turn to show up for him. Any donation—no matter the size—will help ease the burden and let him know he is not alone during this incredibly difficult time.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
