Stand with Responzia in Her Time of Need
Donación protegida
This is truly one of those “Book of Job” stories, and it’s about my friend Responzia Burks.
Responzia is a veteran, a single mom, and one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever worked with. Truly, the term “healing hands” comes to mind… her talent feels like it was sent from above. She’s worked with nationally ranked sports teams, been on tour with a major artist of our time, and I got lucky enough to get to work with her when she was living in Atlanta, GA years ago and we fully hit it off. She’s the kind of friend that when we met, I just knew we were cut from the same cloth. We’ve stayed in touch throughout the years, and I’ve watched from afar while she put herself through school again and reinvented her life.
Now, Responzia needs help.
The last 5 months of her life has utterly turned her life upside down. I won’t go into all of the details (as it is her story to tell), but she’s had to move cities and apartments a few times, her vehicle was stolen and wrecked, and she had a major injury that put her out of being able to do massage therapy work. On top of that, she’s got to have gallbladder surgery towards the end of this month, and has found herself struggling from just about every direction.
The primary goal right now is getting her vehicle up and running, as she was driving for Lyft in order to make ends meet and can no longer drive her own car since it needs major repairs. She’s currently driving a rental car through Lyft, but the cost of renting the car in order to do the work is creating a debt cycle that she’s having a really hard time getting out of.
So, I’m asking for any help you can give. Any amount will help… the goal right now is to get the $4000 which is needed to fix the catalytic converter and braking system on her vehicle, and I’m adding an extra $1000 to the goal just to give her some funds to get back on her feet. I truly appreciate any generosity you have to spare… Responzia is a good person, and is just in one of those spots we all dread finding ourselves in. Truly, any help you can offer is appreciated.
