Stand with Kenya Black: Justice for Christian

Hello, I am a close friend of Kenya Black. I am helping him raise money to help with some of the things he needs during this difficult time. He has lost his son at the hands of the corrections officers of Montgomery County, Ohio Jail. His son is Christian Black; he was 25 years young. Christian's death was ruled a homicide at the hands of the correctional officers. The coroner reported his death was caused by positional asphyxiation. This has to stop! Too many have died for this same reason.

Christian is a hero; he saved 2 lives the day he died. His family faced the grueling but proud moment of his hero walk. Donating his organs to save 2 lives was an extremely hard thing to face. They did it for the good of humanity.

Christian's father has found it hard to work through all of this. He has been in mourning, shock, disbelief, and even anger. Can you imagine this happening to your child? Not only all of these things that he is dealing with, there is public opinion. That can put a knife right through your heart. Some of the things that have been said by people who know very little about the facts of what happened have been cruel, to say the least. The biggest thing is people have assumed Christian must have been on drugs. Why else would he have acted the way he did? The toxicology report is back; the lawyers have it. There were no drugs in his system. There was a small trace of marijuana. The bottom line is no matter what Christian did or didn’t do, he did not deserve to die. He deserved to have his day in court. The morning this all happened, he was supposed to be at his court date. Those who are supposed to serve and protect failed Christian.

Christian's family has tried to live life as normally as possible. Between lawyer meetings, press releases, hospital trips, and all of this, work has been put on the back burner. However, the bills are piling up. If you could help in any way, it would be appreciated. This money will go directly to Kenya who is Christians father. There is a separate account for his mother and sister. I want it to be clear that the money will go to Kenya. He is suffering the loss of his son. He unfortunately is not included in the other account. The money will go to me and I will withdraw all funds to give him.
