Hello,

My name is Shellie and I am fundraising for my little friend Dino and his Mom Mercedes.

Dino was diagnosed at age 3 with with type 3 Medulloblastoma (It is a cerebellar brain cancer that is on the back of or near the brain stem) He went through brain surgery, 6 rounds of high dose chemo w/2 bone marrow stem cell transplants. He lived in the hospital for 8 months with nightly routines of changing feeding pumps, cleaning his port and flushing it daily. On December 28, 2022 Dino finally left the hospital...

Fast forward to March 11, 2024 the tumor returned. Now that Dino is considered old enough for radiation he has to endure 6 weeks of radiation Monday-Friday w/anesthesia (asleep) and chemo for 1 year. Dino is once again isolated from his friends and is home schooled.

Dino's Mom Mercedes is one of the kindest, selfless and caring humans I have ever had the opportunity to know. She is divorced w/no financial support provided by the state or ex spouse and increasing medical costs she is obligated to pay alone or loose everything. She is no longer able to work full time or continue her college education due to Dinos needs changing once again (She is inches away from becoming a Dentist) ...

Many resources have been exhausted because they only help families one time. All the money she saved working full time while he was well has been used. She no longer qualifies for CCS (California Children Services) because she worked full time last year (they base benefits based off the previous years income).

With a longer road ahead she is unsure of where it will lead and they need help. This is why I am asking for financial help for my favorite humans. Please consider. X to the O!
