Stairway to Heaven in Aid of St. Brigid's N.S. Sensory Room
Donation protected
On Saturday 25th of May, the staff of St. Brigid's National School, Redhills, Co. Cavan will climb Cuilcagh Mountain to raise money to renovate our sensory room.
St. Brigid's National School is a rural primary school with three special classes for Autistic children. At present, we have 18 children enrolled in our classes.
While we have a sensory room space, we have never had the funding to adequately equip it to meet the needs of the children in our school. We hope to raise enough funds to renovate this space, creating an calming, sensory-rich environment which seeks to meet the multi sensory needs of the children in our school. While the sensory room is used predominantly by the children in the special classes, the space is also utilised by children in the mainstream class at times when they become overwhelmed, anxious or upset.
Your donations are greatly appreciated and will leave a lasting impact on the lives of the children presently in our school and those that join us in the future.
Thank you,
Staff of St. Brigid's National School
