Stage 4 Cancer Patient Needs A Place To Live.
Today I received devastating news that unfortunately impacts my fight with Advanced Stage 4 Duodenal Cancer. After 10+ years of renting our home, we received notification that we have 30 days to vacate so it can be sold. In a normal situation that is an impossible task. My situation is as far from normal as it gets. With my health condition, horrible financial situation due from my cancer, and unrealistic record high rental prices, actually finding and securing long term affordable housing in an extremely short time frame that will accommodate my highly sensitive immune system and other health concerns, along with my two beloved cancer support dogs Penelope and Theodore, as I can't imagine losing my dogs, it physically sickness me to even think of what might happen to them and the effect on myself not having their companionship love, and support. It's very possible we will be displaced and homeless in a matter of just a few weeks.
Realistically I'm hoping to raise enough money to secure housing that will suit our unique needs along with moving expenses and extra funds to help offset the insane rental prices that have become the norm. But...If enough is raised we can purchase our beloved home of over 10 years, or comparable home, with additional funds for needed repairs and maintenance with possible handicap accessible upgrades so I can continue to fight this cancer and at some future point when the time arises have the infrastructure in place to transition into at home hospice care during my end of life journey.

THE BACKSTORY AND HISTORY
First off, we have always planned on buying this home. It's far from perfect, but it's perfect for us. However, cancer struck our family once again. Just before moving here, I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer and underwent surgery and extensive treatments that left me unwell for many years. Once I was recovered, I started an online business selling Tools on marketplaces like Amazon, Ebay Etc. Things were going well and within a couple years I could easily have purchased this home as planned. However, another tragedy took place. Covid 19. My fledgling online business failed in the early part of Covid 19 panic. Feeling defeated but optimistic I was determined to buy this home. I applied for an entry level job at The Home Depot. Once hired I soon moved up and quickly became part of the store management team. Focused and on track to finally purchase the home we had been renting and then tragedy struck again. I was diagnosed with a different, rare, life-threatening cancer that I'm still fighting today Stage 4 Duodenal Adenocarcinoma that had spread to my Lungs, Small Intestine, Lymph Nodes and several other areas.
I have been fighting this horrible disease for the past three years. It's been hell on earth but I'm still here and I still have hope, even if hope is all I have.
