We Love you Mom!

A few years ago, our mom Loretta, went for a routine checkup and was asked to take some tests. That was when our mom got some heartbreaking news, and was diagnosed with a non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. As time progressed so did her cirrhosis and the discomfort and pain were just getting worse.

Recently our mom was referred to the University of Colorado Hospital where she went through 2 days of extensive testing.  After waiting two weeks for the doctor’s findings, we were told our mom will need to have a liver transplant.  Our mom was told she could be put on the donors list, but in reality, she could be on the waiting list forever and never find a donor. Our mom does qualify for a living donor, as long as their blood types match. 

Fortunately, my sisters are a match and could possibly be cleared to donate to our mom. Unfortunately, there so many factors and obstacles that could stand in the way from my sisters being her donor. We are hoping and praying every day that we make it through these obstacles and one of my sisters is cleared to be her donor. 

We love our mom beyond words and our family is asking for help with my mom's medical bills and traveling expenses as we are in for a long road ahead.
