Spinal Surgery Recovery – Help Juan Heal & Rebuild

Hey! my name is Juan. I’ve always believed in working hard, staying creative, and pushing through tough times - but these past few weeks knocked me down in a way I never expected.

While being in Ecuador, I started experiencing intense back and nerve pain. Within days, I lost feeling in parts of my body, had trouble walking, and eventually couldn’t even walk. I was rushed into an emergency spinal surgery due to a serious issue with my L4 and L5 discs.

The surgery was successful in relieving the worst of the pressure on my nerves, but I’m still dealing with post-op complications - numbness in my legs and limited mobility. I’m taking it one day at a time, slowly healing. The hardest part is not knowing how long this recovery will take.

Because I had no health insurance in Ecuador, I was forced to pay everything out of pocket, using all of my savings. That included the hospital stay, imaging, surgery, medication, and recovery equipment.

Right now, I’m asking for help to recover both physically and financially.

Why I’m Asking for Help

I’ve always tried to handle things on my own - but this time, I can’t. This was unexpected and completely out of my control. I’m putting pride aside to ask friends, family, and anyone who feels called to help me get through this tough chapter.
