Hola, mi nombre es Marilú Nieves y tengo 60 años.

Nunca imaginé que estaría pasando por algo así, pero hoy me encuentro luchando contra un cáncer de pulmón que se ha extendido a otras partes de mi cuerpo.

Ha sido un proceso muy difícil, lleno de incertidumbre, pero también de mucha fe. Ya he sido sometida a una cirugía y he comenzado tratamientos como la radioterapia, sin embargo, los médicos me han indicado que debo continuar con más estudios y tratamientos especializados para poder seguir luchando por mi vida.

En este momento, necesito realizarme estudios médicos mucho más precisos en Bélgica, los cuales son fundamentales para definir el tratamiento adecuado y aumentar mis posibilidades de seguir adelante. Lamentablemente, estos estudios y el proceso médico implican costos muy elevados que mi familia no puede cubrir por sí sola.

Hello, my name is Marilú Nieves, and I am 60 years old.

I never imagined I would be going through something like this, but today I am fighting against advanced-stage lung cancer that has spread to other parts of my body.

It has been a very difficult journey, full of uncertainty, but also filled with faith and hope. I have already undergone surgery and started treatments such as radiation therapy; however, my doctors have advised that I must continue with additional specialized tests and treatments in order to keep fighting for my life.

At this moment, I need to undergo more precise medical tests in Belgium, which are essential to determine the most appropriate treatment and improve my chances of moving forward. Unfortunately, these tests and the medical process involve very high costs that my family cannot afford on our own.
