Southside Market and Veggie Truck

Calypso is starting a market in South Fairbanks and we need your help getting it rolling! The Southside Community Farmers’ Market and Veggie Truck will be located in the South Cushman neighborhood in Fairbanks – this neighborhood is hungry for fresh food! This market is designed to benefit local farmers while improving food access in South Fairbanks - there are currently no other markets or sources of fresh, local food in this area! Your donation will provide critical start-up funds for the Southside Community Farmers Market and Veggie Truck!
The market and veggie truck will take place weekly on Tuesdays from 4 to 7PM, June 2nd through September 29th on the corner of 24th and Rickert, adjacent to the JP Jones Community Center. The market and truck will accept all forms of payment, including Food Stamps, WIC and Senior Coupons. While local farmers are vending at the market, the Veggie Truck will drive around the neighborhoods playing music and vending fresh vegetables on neighborhood streets.
