I have been privileged to research topics concerning the African Diaspora that are underrepresented in this field of study. I have the opportunity to study in Rabat, Morocco in spring 2016, but I need your help. I will be researching the art of Morocco , along with current monuments of memory that serve to remind us of ongoing narratives of social change. I am also continuing my intensive study of the Arabic language. As an African American male I feel particularly close to this subject, and look forward to contributing to a body of knowledge that would benefit scholars of future generations.
This will be the second time that I will be studying in Africa, and I will be continuing my research in art, memory, and place, that began in Ghana during the fall of 2013.
