South Coogee Public School Stationery Drive

South Coogee Public School is a wonderful local school with students from diverse cultural and socio-economic communities. As such, there are students who are less advantaged than others.

 

For many families getting organised to return to school is an exciting time however for those experiencing financial difficulty it is fraught with stress and anxiety.

 

My name is Deanna Rodden and as a member of the P&C I have set up this fundraising campaign to alleviate some of this stress, and raise funds to purchase stationery packs for underprivileged students at the school.

 

Last year I was able to put together 30  packs using the donated stationery items which was amazing.  Due to the current situation with Covid, I am asking for monetary donations to purchase packs this year (to avoid the physical handling of donations) therefore I have set a more modest goal of $1000 which would be sufficient to purchase approximately 10-15 stationery packs.

 

Having the basic necessities really does make a huge difference to students experiencing hardship.
