Sorensen Memorial Fund

Donación protegida
I ask all of you to consider helping support a dear family who is in a time of need and support from others.

June 2016 should have been a time of such excitement as the Sorensen family bought and moved into a new place to call home. That same month though the celebrations abruptly ended when he was suddenly diagnosed with metastasized bone cancer.  He was about to begin the fight of his life and with his family at home supporting him he began grueling treatments to fight off this late stage cancer.

In March of 2018 and through July things had started getting really bad again and new medications were started that caused many complications that eventually led to Chris being hospitalized and then sent home on hospice care in early October 2018.  At only 58 years young, this incredible father, husband, son and friend will be missed by so many.

With a new home to now pay for on her own, mounting medical bills and  memorial expenses to contend with..... Sheila could use our help and support! Please donate what you can.

Note from Sheila:

Two days ago I said goodbye to my best friend, my partner for nearly 23 years. It is amazing how much I already miss him. I’m constantly thinking of things to tell him or think, oh I’ll ask Chris if he knows. He was an exceptional human; he was kind, generous, loving, and most of all the best daddy and husband we could have asked for. I’m not sure how to do this all without him. My heart hurts terribly for me and mostly for our son who lost his daddy way too soon. Our son, the bravest 10 year old I have ever seen.

Chris passed away November 13 around 730pm in his home after 5 weeks on hospice care. He was surrounded by his son, Calvin, daughter Kelli Sorensen, our Auntie Moe Rubinstein, his father in law, Les, Catherine Sorensen the mother of his daughters and myself, his wife. The hospice nurse provided support during the transition as well. His daughter Erika Martin and his mother in law Osha Ray Bement were there in spirit as they live far away.

There will be a memorial soon. I will send emails to those I have and will make an announcement here as well.
