Please help raise funds for Soldier’s urgent surgery

I’m Michelle, for those who don’t know me,

I have started this go fund me page in the hope that people can find it in their hearts to donate a few pounds to help us pay for soldiers surgery and speedy recovery.

This handsome fellow above is Soldier, one of our much loved cats, he is 11.

Soldier disappeared around November last year while I was trying to treat his eye for an infection.

On Wednesday he was handed into a Vets as a stray. He was a good weight, despite not eating at home for 10 months and free from fleas, in good general condition apart from his left EYE and teeth.

Soldier has lost his left eye globe, his eye is a mess, he needs surgery to remove whatever is remaining and have it sent to histology. This is booked for Wednesday 4th September

The cost of the surgery is £950 which includes sending what is removed to histology to be checked for cancer. However this doesn’t include the cost of sorting his teeth, they’re unsure of what has caused his injuries at this time.

Soldier has already had two veterinary consultations, one at the vets he was taken too & one with our vets Newton Clarke’s, also antibiotics and anti-inflammatories which I have paid for.

It is very difficult for me to do this as I always try to be self sufficient and don’t like asking for help, however if you can spare a little it will be greatly appreciated.

Should we be lucky enough to raise more than we need, I will donate what is left to either Newton Clarkes to help anyone else in need (if they’ll accept it) or to Ferne Animal Sanctuary to help care for the many strays they have in their care.
