Help for Family on St. Thomas USVI
Donation protected
Dearest Friends,
As Many of you know, the US Virgin Islands sustained a direct hit of hurricane Irma. My mother, sisters and brothers, as well as extended family members have called St. Thomas home for over 100 yrs.
The 2 story rental home where my mother lived lost its roof and her apartment was flooded. So she now lives with my sister in her home.
The storm destroyed the airport making it a while yet before my mom can leave and with the distance promise of eleciticity and running water, I would like to help make thier life a bit more easier by sending a Yeti solar power generator and also a water filtration unit. This will allow them to have basic cold drinks, a fan to fend off mosquitos, lights and listen to the raidio (not hearing the news of what is going on the island and the world is difficult to say the least). Gas is so expensive with long lines to get what is there. However, the sun does shine everyday making solar the best long term option.
Many of you asked what you can do help, as you recall the fun times we spent there visiting my family in the past. Well, this would be a tremendous help to my sister who cares for care my mom and also make my sisters life more comfortable in the foreseeable future once I am able to evacuate mom from there.
Thanks and Love You All in advance for your support,
Rebecca
