Social Welfare Campaign - UCSB COLA

Given the global pandemic we are confronting, the UCSB 4 COLA movement has embarked on a social welfare campaign (SWC) for the Spring Quarter. In coordination with other UC campuses and nation-wide struggles for social welfare, we aim to address and mitigate vulnerabilities within our community in a time of pandemic. We are working with community organizations across Isla Vista, Goleta, and Santa Barbara to expand the distribution of resources. A major component of this SWC is mutual aid, which will provide monetary grants between $50-$100 to those who request them. This fund is specifically for gathering these resources for mutual aid separately from our existing COLA strike fund.
