Soccer Field Dedication for Coach Allen Baker

Klein ISD is honoring Coach Allen Baker by naming the Klein Soccer Field in his honor. Coach Baker spent 27 years as the head coach for the Klein Bearkat boy's soccer team. He won three state championships and impacted the lives of countless young men. Upon retiring after the 2007 season, he was 6th in the nation in wins by high school soccer coaches.

On February 27, 2024 at 6:45p, there will be a ceremony for Coach Baker prior to the Varsity game. Coach Baker would love for any former players and their families to join this celebration. Bring your favorite Coach Baker quote or story, or just bring a cowbell, as we relive the glory days.

So why the GoFund Me?

While Klein HS and the district are covering some costs for a scoreboard sign, there is a unique opportunity for an additional monument sign near the entrance to the field. If you are interested in donating to help cover the costs, we would appreciate it.

Further, any funds that exceed the amount of the sign, will be donated in full to the Klein Education Foundation whose mission is to generate and distribute additional learning and enrichment resources to KISD teachers and campuses.

We encourage only those with adequate resources to donate. More important than any donation is helping us spread the word to the Klein Bearkat Alumni by sharing this with any former Bearkats that you have connections with.
