It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of one of our student's. Five-year-old Riley Whitney is currently being treated for cancer.  The Whitney family is a huge part of the Creative Beginnings Family.  We ask for continued prayer for the entire family during this difficult time and through their long journey ahead. 

Message from the family:
"The last few days have been some of the hardest of my life. But I know my Heavenly Father has gone before us and will be with us. Deut 31:8

My Smiley Riley is going on a journey that no parent ever wants their child to go on. He was entered into the Oncology ward at Children’s National on Easter.

They have found multiple lesions in his neck, spine, kidney and they believe because of his low hemoglobin that cancer is in his bone marrow as well.
•
He is heading into surgery right now to biopsy the neck tumor, biopsy the bone marrow and enter a chemo port for when he starts chemo later on this week.
•
This is a furious storm we are heading into. What is sustaining our family right now and always is the POWER of my Lord JESUS. 
•
My precious Smiley Riley is a fighter and has a fantastic team in place ready to take on this battle. But my sweet boy has the POWER of God fighting for him!"
