SMG Catholic Women's Support Network

I was raped by a Catholic priest in the Pittsburgh Diocese three and a half years ago.  I now understand what anxiety, depression, and PTSD are all about.   Over that time, I have also learned so much, and as a woman, a teacher and a victim, I wanted to reach out to others and create a non-profit that will assist in multiple ways to help victims on their path to becoming SURVIVORS!

SMG stands for St. Maria Goretti who is the patron virgin-martyr of abused and raped women.

SMG Catholic Women's Support Network will provide sexually abused women in the Catholic Church, a faith-based path to healing and life empowerment.

To show you my commitment to this cause, In late June and July, I will be hiking a part of the Camino in Spain to praise God, share my story with other pilgrims and  use as my fundraiser to get this organization up and running by the fall.
