SMA FAMILY CAMP

The SMA Family Camp, also known fondly as the "Wheelie Camp Out," is an opportunity for individuals as well as family and friends to come together and enjoy the great outdoors, in the best way -SMA style! SMA Family Camp 

The camp began in 2018, and was a huge success, full of adventures like: adaptive kayaking at the crystal clear Timothy Lake, power wheelchair soccer, and a scavenger hunt in the woods. Memories were made from magical and hilarious performances during the talent show, honoring our special guests at the awards dinner, at the amazing glow-in-the-dark wheelchair obstacle course, and hanging out around the campfire sharing stories and listening to live music. The camp was complete with the bonds that were formed and the time together with others who understand and are affected by SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) in some way. What is SMA? 

We need your help to continue this amazing camp experience, which provides the opportunity to take a break from medical appointments, limitations, and the day to day challenges and routines that accompany life with SMA. But more importantly, it's a time to be together, be renewed and encouraged! SMA Family Camp 2019 is rapidly approaching, and funds are needed to cover the cost of lodging, (Camp Arrah Wanna), the adaptive kayaking (Adventures Without Limits), and other activities, as well as meals and to help reduce the cost for our families who already face numerous other medical-related expenses throughout the year.
