Slocan Evacuation Acupuncture Clinic
Donation protected
We are experiencing massive forest fires in our area from Slocan to New Denver. This just so happens to be the 2 towns where my acupuncture offices are located. You can find me at ravenacupuncture I'm looking for donations to allow me to keep funding the clinic. I usually have a monthly Community Clinic pay by donation day to serve the whole community but I can no longer afford to offer this service to the community without funding.
I have been able to set up a temporary Winlaw clinic which is ready to go this week @emeryherbals but future space is limited.
As we raise funds I will be able to offer more appointments to those in need.
It will likely take weeks after the evacuation order to recover from disruption completely and to clear the highway to our second location in New Denver.
We have no idea how long we are evacuated for or what we will face upon our return. There are some in our community that will face long term hardship from these fires. Housing, health, income, relationship stress, ptsd, these impacts can last long after a disaster. While most people think of acupuncture to treat pain, I was introduced to it after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans years ago as a treatment for shock, loss, ptsd and heightened stress. Every part of our community is effected in some way and I will be here to help.
While my family is safe, my acupuncture practice is our main source of income and we will be experiencing an economic burden as we are evacuated and still have bills coming in. It is in my nature to help when needed and I will be treating many who are also experiencing similar circumstances but I need your help.
I was unable to evacuate all my acupuncture supplies so I may need to order more shortly.
All donations are appreciated.
Stay safe. The rains are coming

Funds will be directly used to keep the lights on in Slocan and New Denver locations $1700, to donate to Emery Herbals for use of space $150. Once these expenses are met we can offer by donation treatment to all effected by these fires. Anything above will go toward making my mortgage payment this month for the family home.
