Youth Basketball + Broadcasting Camp
July 15-July 26, 2019
10-5p M-F for 2 weeks
Julian High School
Chicago, IL

Our GOAL is for each child to leave with a new-found confidence after experiencing the joy of sports, teamwork, connection, and community.
There is a serious lack of resources for Chicago’s youth, especially in the summertime when they are needed most:
Some statistics:
-Gun violence is the #1 cause of death for young people in Chicago
-19% of homicide victims are between the ages of 10-19
-33,000 Chicago juveniles have been arrested in the last 20 years
-Programs focusing on youth sports, mentor ship, and pro-social skills lead to a 44% reduction in violent crimes AND lead to better grades and attendance st school.

Your support in reaching our goal of $10,000 will go toward: Hiring local Trainers + Coaches, Liability Insurance, T-shirts + uniforms, equipment, meals, trainers, and our field trip to see the Chicago Sky play the Indiana Fever!
Any donations will help.

My name is Brooke Weisbrod, and I love the game. More than that I love to see sports bring people together and show how sports can take you around the world.
I’m a sports broadcaster at ESPN covering men’s and women’s basketball. As a former professional basketball player, I had the privilege of going outside and playing anytime I wanted. Every kid should experience that same environment.
This camp is a new experience and I can’t wait to share with you what comes from letting the kids mash-up the wonderful worlds of Basketball and Broadcasting.
Join me! Let us make a DIFFERENCE for Chicago’s kids. Thank you!!
