Help me not be homeless, please?

Hey. You probably don't know me very well, but I'm in a bit of a rough spot right now. I currently live in Texas, but I've only got about a week left before I get evicted. I'm trying to make my way up to the north side of the United States to find a place to live, as well as be closer to friends who can also help. I'm not gonna ask anyone to break the bank for me, but I really need the help. Anything is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: So I hit my original goal of 3k, only to be told that I'd need another 2.5k to properly pay off the security deposit for the place I'm looking to get. I really hate to change the goal at what feels like the last minute, but I don't have much choice.
