I am a physician who resided in Sint Maarten for 2 years.  Myself, family and friends have made this a second home since the year 2005.  As an Alum of the med school there, I still have very strong ties to the community.  Our school and it's Alumni are organizing medications, supplies, resources and travel for volunteers  to assist with the immediate and ongoing repair and rebuild of Sint Maarten. The devastation is insurmountable - every penny and interest in helping is needed!  
As time permits, and as requests for medications, supplies, resources are made from local physicians/school alum/and charitable humanitarian  organizations- money will be withdrawn and used to purchase supplies and have them sent to the island to assist with medical care and basic necessities in addition to assisting with rebuilding areas if we have the funds to do so.  Most importantly, many are without needed medications, sanitary water, food and shelter.  This will be the urgent focus.
