Support Show of Hands!

Dear Valued Customers, Artists and Supporters of Show of Hands,

After more than three decades, Show of Hands is moving to a new location in Cherry Creek North.  As many of you know, Show of Hands is a locally owned small business that has been in the Cherry Creek North neighborhood for 35 years.

Show of Hands has become synonymous with art, education, creative community gathering space and a neighborhood happy place that evokes a smile just by walking through our doors.  We represent and support over 200 American artists at our gallery and are one big, colorful creative family!  Many of our customers feel like family, too.  We’ve loved supporting the arts, community and education, and now, we need your help!
A New Home in Cherry Creek North

Due to an increase in property value, our taxes have increased to a point where we cannot stay in our current location.  We will miss our Clayton location, it’s been home to our family, friends and loyal customers for years, but change is part of life, and we are embracing it with all we’ve got!

We are moving to a wonderful new location at 250 Columbine, suite 145. Our new gallery is located 2 doors down from Starbucks and directly across from the Halcyon Hotel.  We will be surrounded by other locally owned, small businesses, Gnat Jewelers Atelier, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa.  We are coming full circle and will move back to Columbine, where Show of Hands first opened its doors in 1983!

In 2011, Katie Friedland and Mandy Moscatelli bought Show of Hands from one of the founding artists.  Katie has worked at Show of Hands for 16 years, worked at the store while pregnant with her son Zak (now 11), and has devoted her life to making sure the community has a creative, artistic, friendly neighborhood place that supports the arts and kiddos.  Mandy has worked at Show of Hands for 7 years, her children, Carson (8) and Cade (11) love visiting and chatting with customers about their favorite art.  Together with our customers and the community, Show of Hands has raised hundreds of dollars for art programs at Carson, Steck and Bromwell Elementary Schools and Hill Middle School.  We believe art is important for children and want to continue to help fund art programs in local schools.

Show of Hands Needs Your Help!

We have worked hard to make Show of Hands, and everything it represents successful.  Through construction, road closures, downed economy, the building directly behind us being torn up during the 2017 holiday season, water main breaks, and a changing landscape in Cherry Creek North.

We continue to fight for our small business and our community.  Our dream is to keep handmade, whimsical art in the neighborhood and provide a place for our customers to find unique treasures and unparalleled customer service.

Our plan is to open at our new location mid July and our buildout begins the end of May.

This move was not in our 2018 plans or budget and we are calling on our community, friends, artists, neighbors and supporters for help.
