On September 14, 2025, Constantina Ramirez and Moises Enciso were detained by ICE during a traffic stop on Cicero Avenue & Pershing.

This is a message from their oldest son:

"Both of my parents were taken by ICE officials on Sunday morning. My mom and dad were detained on my brother's 10th birthday. My little brother and little sister have not been the same since that morning. Both of my parents go above and beyond for others. They are always willing to help out our neighbors. My mom is very into her faith and loves plants. My dad works in construction, and is very proud of the work he does. It feels like a bad dream to not have them around. It just doesn't feel right, the house feels very dark."
The son also shared that he wants others to be aware, be safe, and have backup plans. "Prepare for the worst, because it is not an easy thing to go through. There is so much chaos that falls on you and it feels like your world is falling apart, so the more you can prepare the better."

Stand with Cicero families during this difficult and uncertain time — let’s keep families together!
