Shogyo Mujo at Burning Man 2017
Donation protected
BURNING MAN is an annual arts festival and retreat based on the principles of radical self-expression. More than 70,000 people from all over the world participate in the festival.
SHOGYO MUJO is a unique installation that utilizes projections, lighting, music, and interactivity to bring a sculpture to life. BARTKRESA studio and sculptor Josh Harker collaborated on the twelve-foot tall faceted skull, and 3D projection mapping. The project has evolved into a 360-degree musically-driven, interactive visual centerpiece that has been featured at festivals, creative conferences, and entertainment events.
Shogyo Mujo represents the first of the three marks of Dharma, which states that all things are impermanent. Each iteration of this piece represents an intersection of the physical and the imagination, a distinct experience for each guest. Shogyo Mujo aligns with the ephemeral nature of the art and experiences created at Burning Man.
Please help us realize the full potential of this installation in the desert by donating!
Shogyo Mujo is an ambitious installation that requires a large crew to assemble and run the projectors, staging, and sculpture.
All funds will go directly to the transportation, setup, and labor required to make this installation a distinct experience for each guest.
