Shipping My Car to Study Abroad in the Virgin Islands

Hi! My name is Alexandria, and this fall I’ll be attending the University of the Virgin Islands to pursue my Master’s in Marine and Environmental Science. This opportunity means the world to me—I’ll be diving into coral reef research (literally!) and contributing to vital conservation work in one of the most beautiful, biodiverse places in the world.

As part of my journey, I’m raising funds to help ship my car to the island, which will allow me to get to and from classes, research sites, and dive locations. Public transportation in the Virgin Islands is very limited, so having reliable transportation isn’t just convenient—it’s necessary.

I’m asking for help with this one-time relocation cost—$3,000 to safely ship my vehicle to the island.

A little about me:

I’ve always been a hard worker and a high achiever—honor roll, dean’s list, and scholarship recipient throughout my academic career. I’ve been independent since I was young, often helping my mom and figuring out things on my own. I rarely ask for help, but this time, I know it’s okay to lean on community while I work toward one of my biggest dreams.

My tuition and program costs are covered through funding—but shipping my car, unfortunately, isn’t. That’s where you come in.
