On November 9th, 2016 we lost our beloved son, brother, and friend, Shervin Zahedi. Shervin was a beacon of knowledge, love, and compassion, and had a profound impact on all of those who were close to him.
The last 5 years of Shervin's life were a hard fought battle with mental illness. The struggle opened our family's eyes to a disease that touches millions of individuals and their families daily, yet remains severely underfunded and undersupported. The proceeds from this campaign will go to The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation (https://bbrfoundation.org/), an organization committed to alleviating the suffering caused by mental illness through scientific research.
Shervin's fight with mental illness has now ended, and although we miss him with all of our being, we know that he is finally at peace.
