Sheku Saidu Final Homegoing

Our family is saddened to announce the death of Sheku Colin Saidu, who passed away on the early morning of September 22, 2017 from heart failure. Sheku was a beloved husband and father, a  loving brother, a supportive friend, and an involved community leader. He was known for his generosity, family-oriented values, and bigger than life personality; bringing laughter, fun and smiles into every room he entered. 

A born leader, he became a pillar of strength for his entire family, lending a hand or ear wherever needed.

As a proud "Mende Boy" Sheku loved his African heritage and home country of Sierra Leone (West Africa) very dearly. To honor his final wish to be buried back home, we are raising funds to cover overtaker & funeral fees, and international transportation costs his family will need to take care of in the coming month. 

Sheku is survived by his wife of 15 years, Barbara Faggins, his daughter Baindu Nafei Saidu, his mother Martha Saidu, and countless family members and friends, both in the United States and Sierra Leone. Though he has gone home to the Lord, his legacy will live on with us forever.
