Sharon's Heart Transplant
Don protégé
Hi, my name is Sharon Alderson. My husband is Richard. On 1/3/2023, I was blessed with a new heart. I am forever grateful to the donor. I am getting stronger every day, which is great. My husband, Richard, is currently the only one working at the moment.
Due to my health issues, I haven't been able to work since April 2022, when my health really started to decline. I ended up hospitalized on Dec 22, 2022 when I couldn't regulate my sodium. It was low. Low sodium levels effect the kidneys. I was in a losing battle. My kidneys were on the decline and my heart was getting steadily weaker.
Richard is a great husband: supportive, loving and hard working. He is currently working a full time job and as an independent contractor for Amazon. We were doing ok for a while, but things are not going well financially. We are struggling to make ends meet.
I hate asking for handouts, but I am in the hospital recovering and it isn't going to be a short battle. I will be unable to work for the next several months. So Richard is the only one able to work. He also has to take care of me, the house, the bills, our cats, driving me appointments and filling in when I'm not able to do things. Things are difficult now and will not improve financially for a while.
We just need a little breathing room until my disability comes through and/or I can start working again.
So please, only if you can, because I know things are tight everywhere, if you could donate to help us make it for now. I would greatly appreciate it.
I wouldn't do this if I could think of any other way. We have sold everything we can of value, barring my wedding rings. Please consider giving us a little help.
Thank you all.
