Shane was admitted into the hospital on September 1st with a small spot of Covid Pneumonia on his lung. Within a matter of days it had spread into both lungs and he was placed on a ventilator and moved into the ICU on September 7th. Although he was officially downgraded from the ICU on September 30th, he still remains on the ventilator.

As of October 19th, Shane's insurance coverage will run out and he will be transported to a private rehabilitation center of which the family is responsible for the entirety of the payment . This GoFundMe has been started as a way to raise money for Shane's continued Covid rehabilitation care.
