Sewing Machine & Lesson Giveaway in Philly

Hello! My name is Adriana Williams. I am the founder, seamstress and an educator at Sew with W. Sew with W is a subsidiary of ADW that offers beginner and intermediate sewing classes including Sewing 101, Envelope Pillow Case Construction and Canvas Tote Bag Construction with hopes to expand into advanced courses, pattern making, embroidery, serging and more. Sew with W also offers small business sewing services, including but not limited to brand tag, size tag & patch application, select sample making and alterations.
As a self-taught seamstress, my sole purpose is to not only educate those on how to sew and operate a machine but to understand the importance of sewing. I shine a light on how sewing builds patience, independence and self-control. Sewing provides new career opportunities, an opportunity to express your own individuality, creativity and can save you money. Sewing truly teaches you the value of “handmade”.
Located in the city of Philadelphia, in the heart of Kensington at Sew with W we find it imperative to give back to our community. Our goal is to not only educate but provide the means and assistance to learn how to sew and obtain a new skill. As previously done, we plan on continuing giveaways of free sewing machines and sewing lessons. For each sewing machine given away, a free lesson will be given. This fundraiser will allow us to purchase sewing machines, tools and materials needed. Please support us in this effort to provide the city of Philadelphia with the sewing machines and lessons to enhance their skills and boost creativity and individuality.
