I was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease. My lungs and heart are scarred from the brain cancer treatment I received 10 years ago. I need to be on 2 liters of oxygen 24/7.  This means within the walls of my home I use a stationary oxygen concentrator and every time I leave my home, I am forced to cart around an oxygen tank that is heavy and only lasts AT MOST 6 hours. This allows me very little freedom as I am not strong enough to manage the tanks by myself and I have to constantly be checking what my level is at. I am a prisoner of oxygen tanks.

However, if I were to have a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC), the chain of tanks would be broken! I have the strength to manage a POC! I can plug a POC into a cigarette lighter and go on a long car trip! I can be out and about all day long not worrying about whether or not I have enough air to last me! I can drive myself again! I can go out with my friends again! I WOULD HAVE FREEDOM AGAIN!

Having a POC would be fantastic but they are a little pricey and that is why I am starting this campaign; to get a Portable Oxygen Concentrator and SET DEVREE FREE!

I ask that you give whatever you would spend on getting me flowers or sending me cards or stuff, put it towards this! I love stuff, like anyone else, but I NEED this! I am appreciative of whatever I am given.
