Sequin Climb II

Hi lovely people. Myself and group of approximately 50 friends (or soon to be friends), from all over the U.K. are going to climb Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, on March 26th 2022, dressed in sequins to raise money for the charity Macmillan.

 

Not only are we doing this climb to raise awareness and money for this much needed charity, we are doing it in loving memory of our friend Ree whom we sadly lost in 2020 to cancer.

 

This is the second in the series of climbs we have done. Our first sequin climb in 2018 was to scale Snowdon in Wales for a friend who needed extensive brain surgery. It was a super, successful, fun weekend and our friend is now better thanks to all those who helped us and participated.

 

Ree Leaton was one of those people who helped out. She was our Minibus driver to Snowdon, as well as a participant on the climb in 2018 and a dear friend to many.

 

We thought it was be a great tribute to Ree to do another climb and toast her at the top whilst raising money for a charity to help others suffering and try to fight this awful disease.

 

Ree was aware we were doing this climb for her and Macmillan before she passed away, as it was planned for 2020, unfortunately it had to be postponed until now.
