My name is Soledad Bautista and I am asking for your support so I can attend the Cannes Film Festival where my first film as a producer, "The Heart of Texas," has been officially selected.

Asking for help for others has never been a challenge; asking for help for myself is another story. This is a huge step for me as a newly born entrepreneur and as a woman with huge dreams. Now I have learned that "If you want to go fast, you go alone. And if you want to go far, you go together." Many of my dreams need many humans. Let's start with this one!

This film continues making my dreams come true! This opportunity is just breathtaking; I can't stop smiling. It's powerful and fills me with joy and pride.

The Heart of Texas is rooted in the question: Who deserves the right to pursue their dreams? The answer is, we all do.

We have to get better about asking for help and about being great stewards of the trust that we are given. Art in all of its expressions is what I believe makes life worth living, and it is the tool to imagine new ways to live and exist.
