Life is interesting. You can cook and eat healthy consistently. You can go to the gym 3-4 times a week for years on end. You can consistently see a therapist to heal from all of life’s battles.
Sometimes, it doesn’t matter. On September 26, 2025, I had a seizure while driving. My girlfriend and I were heading to a Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Game, and thank God I decided to take a side street. I began to feel like I was out of body. This is my first seizure ever. My girlfriend, my personal hero, jumped into action and saved us from crashing into trees, homes, and cars. She took hold of the steering wheel. As we avoided all danger, my 2021 Jeep Wrangler began to roll. We rolled 3 times. My girlfriend was ejected through the roof. By the Grace of God, she only received minor road rash and a small fracture on her cheek. I simply have a one inch cut on my shoulder, but there was more to come.
I did not become conscious to reality until almost to the hospital in the EMT. My memory is not well, most likely due to the seizure, and I am still struggling to recall that Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
The hospital performed a MRI on my brain, to which we found the unfortunate cause of my seizure.
I have a large tumor on the frontal lobe of my brain, but multiple doctors believe it is benign.
Today is Tuesday, September 30, 2025. I had a craniotomy surgery today. They removed the benign tumor and the ‘tentacles’ that extend from the tumor. I will be out recovering for 4 weeks, which means I will not be able to return to work for 4 weeks at the minimum. God has guided such caring individuals to surround me, but burdening my family and friends by asking for money is taking a toll on my mental state. I am unaware of what my medical bills will be. Any extra money I do not use, I am donating to another brain surgery patient in need.
Unfortunately with being a teacher and devoting my life to legitimate children in need, title 1 schools, I don’t have the funds built like I’d need for a situation like this.
Anything and everything is helpful to cover my home bills and medical bills until I return to work. If everything goes as planned, my first paycheck will arrive in mid-November.
