On Friday June 30, Sandy Ellerman, from Sandy's Dog Grooming in Cockeysville, MD, was rushed to the hospital for stroke like symptoms. There it was discovered that she had a mass in her brain, a brain tumor. She was operated on quickly to remove the tumor on July 3. After removal, it was determined that the mass was indeed cancerous.
Sandy returned home a few days later. She will begin chemo and radiation treatments in the upcoming weeks. A long road of recovery lies before her.
It was recommended that Sandy not drive or work for several months. This inability to work will cause her business to suffer greatly and perhaps even close unless the loss of income can be recovered in some way and quickly. Her current residence and way of living(very humble) will also be in jeopardy given the impending loss of income.
Sandy has spent her life always caring for others, and their animals, and always giving of everything she had so that others could be happy. It is our hope (her family)that now she can be on the receiving end of such selfless generosity.
We value anything you can give and if you have been a loyal customer of hers, we certainly value that business and loyalty to her as well. No donation is too small and if unable to give, your prayers are more than appreciated.
